Each spring, Cullman participates in the Alabama Tourism Department’s April Walking Tours, a free series of guided history walks through downtown. The tours meet at 10 a.m. each Saturday in April at the Cullman County Museum (211 2nd Avenue NE) and are led by rotating local guides who share stories about Cullman’s past, historic architecture, and the people who shaped the city. These approximately hour-long tours offer a relaxed way to learn about local history and community heritage while exploring downtown on foot.
Cullman Ghost Walks by Southern Ghost Girls Tours
Interactive Paranormal Walks in the Fall
Each October, the Southern Ghost Girls host Cullman Ghost Walks, an engaging seasonal walking tour that brings downtown’s haunted history to life. Tours begin at 6:30 p.m. at Depot Park and wind through historic streets, local businesses, and notable buildings while guides share chilling stories and local lore. Participants may even interact with paranormal equipment to explore reported sightings firsthand. These tours typically run on select Tuesday evenings in October and last about two hours, making them a standout fall experience for history buffs, thrill seekers, and curious visitors alike.
